Users of these gadgets can create various site tabs and then customize those using different feeds, layouts, gadgets and color schemes.

A desktop gadget is essentially a desktop widget, with small and specialized applications which are designed for simple tasks, like calendars, clocks, search tools or RSS notifies. They can be run with the use of either desktop or Windows sidebar.
