HTC Touch Pro is amongst the popular smart phones in the current market. HTC has gone another step closer towards perfection with an addition of a complete 5-row QWERTY keyboard.

When you’ll purchase your HTC Touch Pro, you are going to get a phone, AC charger, 1GB Micro SD-card along with case, extra stylus, wired stereo headset, USB data cable, belt holster, micro-USB headphone adapter and screen protector. It’s slightly thicker than other HTC models, at 4.17×2.05×7 inches. However, it’s considerably light at 5.3 ounces including the battery. Display is 2.8-inch in side and is a TFT-LCD VGA touch screen from Touch Diamond.

Keyboard of HTC Touch Pro has been laid out perfectly. It has designated number keys, which do not make it have a crowded feel. Enter & Shift keys are twice in width to others, which make easy to locate and at the same time, it has shortcuts for messaging applications.

HTC Touch Pro also offers a 3.2MP camera, which can also record video. Taking picture is simple with its auto-focus and inbuilt flash. However, there is no shortcut key dedicated to camera. It’s an option in the 3D user-interface. Touch Pro has the capability of taking panoramic photos virtually seamless. Its videos are also of high quality when compared to other HTC smart phones.

HTC Touch Pro has been loaded with several pre-installed applications. They include Windows Live Messenger and Opera & IE browser. Apart from that, it also supports AOL, Yahoo and Windows Live Messenger. It is also provided with Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, JETCET PRINT 5, YouTube, Adobe Reader LE, Live Search, OneNote Mobile and RSS Hub. Unfortunately, its processor doesn’t seem compatible to Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro. Generally, scrolling is choppy with rough animations. TouchFLO 3D didn’t performed according to its potential.

At $299.99, it is a wonderful offering from HTC and you should not miss it!

Blackberry Bold is considered the top BlackBerry released in the market till date. Fundamentally, the phone works similar to other BlackBerry, but has several small-to-medium tweaks, improvements and updates. These modifications have given a richer and more refined option in Blackberry.

Screen

Dazzling screen (480×320) of Blackberry Bold is enough for receiving praises from the critics. Its incredibly rich appearance and stunning pixel density will make you develop a desire to touch it.

Keyboard

BlackBerry phones live and die on their keyboard. After you will get accustomed to the slight angle shift of the keys in Blackberry Bold, it’s going to be a fantastic experience. Its glossy navigation keys are large and make typing comfortable. You might even find its backlighting impressive.

Body

When it comes to the body, with Blackberry Bold you have your hands on an incredibly modern business device. This smart phone exudes power. Sony Ericsson’s Experia is a mixed bag when it comes to smart phones released in 2008. For each good feature it possesses, you might come across a detracting one too.

From hardware viewpoint, Experia is well built and has an extremely solid feel. However, it is not amongst the slimmest or lightest phone in the market. Its 256 MB RAM and 528 MHz has given the phone adequate horsepower for operating smoothly.

In terms of software, USP of Xperia is the custom panel interfaces that vary from media player interface, distinct types of home screens and a Google-oriented screen. When selected, they serve as the default screen on the phone and every other navigation trackback to the panel. Theoretically, it’s a good concept, but may fail to serve the purpose of the modern world. Media Player is the standout in Experia. Sony Ericsson has taken designing cues from PS3 and PSP for creating an appealing and functional interface. Its media player features is clean and streamlined along with large buttons and icons, which work well even in the absence of a stylus.

Call clarity and signal strength of Experia are good. However, its screen could have been better, as you will find it difficult in identifying missed call, dialed call or received call at once. Battery life of the phone is great, as you’ll be able to make calls, surf the web and play video files at moderate level for 2-3 days without charging. Its 3.2MP camera has good sensors giving clear photos and has touch screen taps for auto focusing on specific objects. However, its slow shutter detracts the camera experience.

At $800, Sony Ericsson’s Experia has a lot to offer to you, if you can overlook all its minor drawbacks.

The cool new gadget which makes you crazy is the virtual laser keyboard. This revolutionary accessory is of the size of a zip lighter with a leather jacket. Once turned on, the device can virtually create a full size operating QWERTY keyboard on any flat surface. It is important that the surface on which you project the keyboard should be flat without projections greater than 2mm. You can seamlessly connect this keyboard to PDA, MAC, Tablet PC, smartphone, Nokia and Blackberry phones.

The laser keyboard virtually created can be used just like an ordinary keyboard. When you hit the keys, you will hear natural tapping sound as well.
